Kelly’s antique high chair / rocker

This antique high chair/rocker came to us in a sad state after having been damaged by fire. Some parts were completely burned away and others unsalvageable.

All too often whole pieces like these are deemed unsalvageable and sent to landfill.

At Renowned, we hate to see little pieces of history going to the dump so, we replicated the damaged parts, including one of the bentwood arms, and carefully removed as much of the charred wood as we could, whilst trying to keep the piece as original as possible.

The client was relieved and very happy to see it back in one piece again and said “Love and care taken in the restoration of my family heirloom. Fabulous job.”
