Papua New Guinea Artifacts
Here’s a couple of rare PNG carvings that Rob’s wife brought from a childhood growing up in the jungles of PNG. Her dad was a timber man back in the ‘60’s and she recalls a life filled with simple pleasures and plenty of interaction with the local kids. When we received them for repair, they had been blown off the walls of their Brisbane home during the recent storms. They were very dry & brittle, possibly due to several years hanging on the wall so they smashed into several pieces. Not one piece was lost and the re-jointing was done with surgical precision so we trust we have not upset any ancient gods or medicine doctors…
