Rod’s Old Oak Rolltop desk

Our client was so blown away by the transformation that Rod rushed out and purchased the guys a case of beer to say an extra special thank you to them for the wonderful work that they’d done on his treasured rolltop.

The old English oak roll top desk is nearing completion. Last tasks are assembly and delivery!

We’ve made a start on Rod’s Roll top desk. Brought to us in pieces (so no good before shots!), something he purchased very second hand in The US of A back in the 1990’s and has ‘been meaning to get restored’ for more than 25 years.

There’s some markings on an old crate that was used as the internal base (good old “waste not, want not”), possibly built in the 1930’s, we think at this stage. All the veneer lifting off from a previous flood damage, etc. Going to be a long journey, but on Rod’s looking forward to taking with us.
