From sounds of silence to roaring silence
One of the worldâs best speaker manufacturers JBL have been putting out amazing speakers for more than 4 decades and these classics are among some of the greatest. Chris came to us looking for a high quality timber restoration on these beauties. While the internals of these speakers are still pumping out great sound, the cases are or were a little worse for wear. We totally stripped out all the veneer, added some solid timber corner pieces to make them last another 50 years
and then re-veneered them in high grade American walnut and then repolished them in 2 pack Isolac finish.
Chris was amazed when he came to collect them and when we showed him the progress shots
he was very happy to see that we had done the job far in excess of his expectations. By removing all the old veneer, we ensured that the new veneer will stay for good and by reengineering the corners, we have actually made the units better than they were originally.
 Chris will now resell these classics for a profit as they are a collectorâs item that are much sought after. âRock on, JBLâ !!!
