Update: December 18, 2015
The hand carved mascots for Liana’s new hair salon, “Bambi & Bear,” are coming along nicely. Handpicked blocks of genuine old growth Queensland rainforest red cedar are being used for the job.

We are working on a cool project for a client who is about to open up a new hair salon. It’s going to be called “Bambi & Bear” and the mascots are our part of the project.
Here are the sketches we’re using for the wood cut-outs.
Here are the raw blocks we made for the 2 animals. The blocks are made from old growth Queensland rainforest red cedar that we’ve been stockpiling for more than 30 years. It is quite probably another 25 or 30 years older than that, so we did choose special timber for the job.
Here are the 2 animal cut-outs. There are more work to do, so Watch this space!
